ROAM Outreach is part of NHS Lothian’s Harm Reduction Team offering a wide range of services for men who have sex with men (MSM) in public sex environments (PSEs) and for men engaged in the sex industry.
The delivery of the service has continually developed and changed to meet the needs of our client group throughout Edinburgh and the Lothian’s however, due to the increase of online cruising sites and the use of Saunas we now invest equal time online and in saunas.
As we are in the 2nd decade of our service, ROAM Outreach aims not only to celebrate its past history but also to build on this and further develop its good reputation for excellent work with our client group.
Our services are offered in a variety of settings:

Out of hours ROAM testing clinic on a Monday evening

Drop in service for advice, free condoms and lube

One-to-One support work in house and external covering a wide selection of subjects relating to safer sex, Cruising, personal safety and male sex worker issues

Peer education sessions within Edinburgh's two gay saunas
