Acid
Acid - LSD, trip
Effects:
- Seeing colours more intensely
- Seeing patterns, things seem to move or melt
- Hallucination
- Feeling of floating, time seems to slow down
- Feeling of a new reality or understanding of life
- paranoia and schizophrenia type mental illness from long term use.
- flashbacks (reliving parts of the trip) and panic attacks weeks, months or years later.
- Can give no sense of danger, putting yourself or others at major risk of harm.
- Effects vary with your mood when you take the tab and the amount of drug in it.
Acid with other drugs:
- Any other drugs: acid can be strong and unpredictable so not a good idea to mix with other drugs.
- Anti-depressants: can raise or lower the effects of acid; some (as well as lithium) can cause dangerous reactions from increased effects. Check with a doctor first.
- HIV drugs: no known dangerous interaction.
Sex on Acid:
- Can make you feel horny and increase your sense of touch
- Hallucinations can be sexual
- Sex can seem to last longer than it really does
- Lower inhibitions can change your view of reality, make it easier to act out sexual fantasies, cloud your judgement of safer sex.
- In case you have a bad trip, have sex with someone you know well and trust.
Staying safe:
- Take someone having a bad trip to a quiet place. Reassure them the drug will wear off in a few hours but get medical help if they're out of control.
- Acid can trigger mental health problems and make existing ones worse, so it's a good idea to avoid acid if you have anxiety, depression or other mental health problems.
