HIV
What is HIV?
HIV (Human Immuno-deficiency Virus), is a virus that weakens your immune system leaving your body vulnerable to other infections that can affect your health. If this is not treated with medication it can lead to further more serious health complications that can become life threatening, this stage of infection is called AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome).
You cannot become infected with AIDS only HIV, AIDS is what can develop after an HIV infection.
There is no cure or vaccination for HIV, but there are treatments and support options available, for more information please click here for further contact details.
Testing for HIV?
Testing for HIV is done by a taking a blood sample, it is then tested for antibodies to HIV, your body will create antibodies to fight the virus but will not be able to destroy it. If these antibodies are found in the blood it will mean you are HIV Positive. If you get a HIV negative result it does not mean you are immune, you can still become HIV positive if you take risks in the future.
All tests are confidential and offered in a non judgemental environment. You will be offered pre and post testing support where you can discuss any aspect of HIV testing and potential results.
Most test results take 7 days but some clinics are able to offer same day testing.
Don’t forget that if you talk to a specialist at a testing centre about HIV/Testing it does not mean you have to have a test!

How is HIV passed on and how do you prevent it?
HIV for a man is found in, Blood, Cum and Pre-Cum, it can only be passed on to another man if an infected man’s fluid enters another persons blood stream. So if a man has a cut in his arse or on his cock and fucks without a condom, there is a risk of infected fluid entering the cut and into the blood stream.
Unprotected oral sex may be considered a safer form of sex but there can be sores or tiny cuts in the mouth or on the cock which increase the chance of HIV or other infections getting into the body, so don’t forget condoms for sucking (oral sex)!
To reduce your risk of contracting HIV, using a condom and plenty of water based lube for fucking is recommended. The arse lining is very sensitive so it’s easy to have tears in the lining or even on your cock that make it easier for passing on HIV and other STI’s.
Getting an HIV positive result, what next?
Receiving a Positive result can be a life changing experience and there is no cure for HIV. However, with the right support and treatments that are available people can lead a full and healthy life.
