Testing

We recommend that men having sex with men should test every 3 months, particularly if you’re having condomless sex.

It’s good to be aware of both your own sexual health and your sexual partners. If you are taking PrEP, we also recommend testing 3 monthly as part of your routine monitoring.

Testing is easy, straight forward and may consist of 4 tests:

  • SWABS – Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
  • URINE – Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea
  • BLOOD SAMPLE – HIV and Syphilis
  • RAPID TEST – HIV and Syphilis

Rapid HIV & Syphilis Test

It’s never been easier to have a Rapid HIV and Syphilis test. It’s a simple finger prick blood test that can determine if you’ve reacted to HIV, Syphilis or both, and within just 60 seconds finding out your status has never been easier.

If you feel you may have been exposed to HIV within the past three months, you won’t receive an accurate result from the instant test. However, we will offer you a blood test which will be accurate from over 4 weeks previously.
